RESULTS OF CORO ENGAGEMENT
Dozens of local people gathered at the Coro on Tuesday (21 October) to see a presentation on the results of the engagement work looking at how The Coro could be shaped for the future.
Councillor Helen Chaffey, Westmorland and Furness Cabinet Member for Communities, Customer Services, Culture and Communications and senior manager/project lead Derek Houston presented the findings of the engagement work which included paper and online surveys, public engagement events, workshops and focus groups.
The members of the public were also invited to ask questions about the project and the future of the venue.
Councillor Chaffey said: “It’s lovely that so many people have had the chance to contribute.
We’re investing a significant amount of money in The Coro and it will be undergoing a programme of refurbishment to ensure it remains a vibrant, inspirational venue at the heart of Ulverston’s cultural and community life. We have said we want to work closely with the community to really understand how people want The Coro to be shaped and developed going forward.”
