Good grant news for Coro Craft Mornings

A huge thank you to Ulverston Town Council, who have awarded a £1000 grant to support our Coro Craft Mornings for the remainder of 2023.

Our monthly craft mornings, run by staff member and local artist Amy Whelan, are free to attend and offer a chance for children, parents, and guardians to be creative and socialise in a relaxed and informal environment. The two we’ve had so far have been a roaring success, with over 100 kids and families attending each time to make their own Great British Wildlife-inspired masks and decorate Easter Eggs.

The grant from the Council will help cover the cost of materials needed for the workshops (which, wherever possible, will be sourced from local scrap stores with a focus on recycling, reusing, and reducing waste) and allow us to expand our offer to include carnival costume-making during Another Fine Fest and lantern-making ahead of Ulverston Lantern Festival.

Find dates of all upcoming craft mornings on our Coro Craft Mornings page.
