Join us for ‘Tea for Two’ — a tantalising and original programme where two violins take centre stage. The programme spans the neoclassical elegance of Bacewicz’s Suite, to Beach’s achingly beautiful Romance and Moszkowski’s exuberant Suite in G minor. Enjoy tea and homemade cake in the interval in preparation for an action-packed second half. Shostakovich’s whimsical Five Pieces lead us into the franco-blues of Ravel’s Violin Sonata, before we take a trip across the border to the sun-soaked melodies of de Falla’s Spanish Dances and the dazzling pyrotechnics of Sarasate’s Navarra. Watch and listen closely as the two violinists vie for supremacy in this thrilling showstopper.
