Vortice Dance Company presents
Sunday 15 May 7.30-8.30pm
Sink your teeth into the myths and legends of the blood-sucking Prince of Darkness in this sumptuous, sinister, and seductive contemporary ballet.
There’s plenty to relish in this luxurious visual tale of submission and domination – and plenty to challenge what you thought you knew about this iconic character. Taking inspiration from Bram Stoker’s classic gothic horror novel and vampiric folklore from many different cultures, choreographers Cláudia Martins and Rafael Carriço have crafted an unforgettable ballet full of laughter, fear, love, and blood.
Bringing the Lord of the Undead to life is one of Portugal’s top dance companies. Renowned for the intense physicality of their performances, Vortice Dance Company will irresistibly pull you into Dracula’s mythical, mystical realm.
A short note on safety
Your safety and comfort continues to be our top priority. Event capacities will be limited to maintain space in the auditorium, while all Coro staff and volunteers will continue to wear face coverings. Currently, as a mandatory condition of entry all audience members will need to wear facemasks, other than when having a drink, if you are medically exempt, or a child under the age of 12. We also encourage all visitors to keep a safe distance from others, use hand sanitisers and wash hands regularly, and check in with the NHS Test and Trace app if able to do so.
