With 14 years of experience leading on voluntary sector projects, start-ups and social enterprises, Beth is responsible for developing The Coro’s vision and strategic objectives with the board of trustees, implementing the business plan and overseeing daily operations. She is a passionate believer that everyone should be able to experience the joy of arts and culture, whatever that means to them, and that The Coro has an important role to play in making that true. Born and bred in Watford, Beth moved from London to Cumbria in 2016. Since living in the Lake District her love for mountains has only grown and she enjoys nothing more than to recharge and refresh with a run, ride or scramble out in the fells.

Peter came to The Coro in October 2021 from the Barbican, Europe’s largest multi-arts and conferencing venue, prior to which he worked as the Marketing Manager for the late Sir Neville Marriner’s internationally renowned orchestra, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields. He looks after our website, emails, brochures, box office system, and much more besides! When not glued to a computer screen at The Coro, Peter can be found out in the Lake District walking or kayaking - usually with his dog.

Sarah first came to The Coro in 2015 and was here for the transition from SLDC to Ulverston Community Enterprises later that year. Apart from a pause during the pandemic, she has been with us ever since! Sarah mans the office reception and can help you with ticket sales and enquiries. Prior to this Sarah was Head of English and Literacy in a secondary school and spent a short time working in our local Co-operative store. Working part-time at The Coro affords her the opportunity to spend time with family and enjoy the fells with friends.

Gary has been working at The Coro on a freelance basis for over 14 years and has worked in the music and theatre industry 20 years this year. His experience is in Production Management, Logistics, Audio and Pyrotechnics. If he is not at The Coro he can be found on tour with a variety of international touring bands. In his spare time he likes to go on walks with his dog and watch baseball.

Louise is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Association of Accounting Technicians and works part time in the Coro Accounts Department. She has worked for various large and small companies such as Norwich Union Plc (Holding Companies Accountant), FKI Engineering (Management Accountant), and The London Institute of City and Guilds (Budgeting and Cost Control Officer). Louise grew up in the local area and has lived in Ulverston since 2005 with her husband, two children (now grown up and at University) and two cockapoos. She is passionate about live music and performing arts and loves the buzz of working in a much-loved local venue where no two days are the same. She also loves sewing and hoarding fabric!

Amy has been working at The Coro for the last year, managing the front of house provision, casual staff and volunteers. As a local artist Amy is always keen to get involved with the arts and recently started monthly drop in craft mornings for children and their families at The Coro, which have been a great success. Amy is also keen to get involved with local festivals such as Fine Fest and the Lantern Parade...watch this space. When not working at The Coro Amy can be found selling her artwork at local festivals and shows, running for Hoad Hill Harriers in marathons and road races, and drinking margaritas in Ranch!

Angela has been working at The Coro for the last year, using her years of hospitality experience to build the customer service provision, and Front of House team, to deliver the fantastic customer experience you know and expect from us. When not managing shows at The Coro Angela runs a local book club and can be found wild swimming in many of the regions Lakes, Tarns, and rivers.
