COVID-19 Announcement

As result of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis the Coronation Hall will remain closed to public performance and hire for the remainder of 2020. The health and wellbeing of our audiences, friends and partners as well as staff and volunteers remains of the utmost importance to us and while COVID-19 is still a public health risk, we feel that we cannot in good conscience encourage large numbers of people to spend time together inside for long periods of time.  We have investigated all options for running a socially distanced programme but the financial implications of running a building and programme on less than half capacity are simply too great.

This pandemic has had a devastating impact on the theatre and venue industry but we are hopeful that by making this incredibly difficult decision now, we stand the best chance of making sure our much-loved Coro Hall is here for the whole community in years to come.

If you are a ticket holder for any of the events that were scheduled to take place in 2020 that have been cancelled due to COVID-19, you will be offered a full refund. We will be in touch with you directly to organise this but ask that you please bear with us it is an enormous task that will take some time. We will endeavour to be as swift as possible.

If you are an organisation or individual who has an existing booking for hire of the Hall, you should have heard from us directly by now but if for any reason you have not, please email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.

Finally, we believe that arts, culture and entertainment are fundamentally important to us as human beings, now more than ever. We are exploring ways of doing something positive and inspiring for and with the community while we remain closed to public performance and hire. News and details of any projects will be published on this site, so do keep an eye out.
